Teatanic
The challenge was to design a ‘niche’ guide to Britain or an aspect of British culture. With this brief it is important to challenge the conventions and content of traditional guides to Britain
I tackled the brief by combining the tragedy of Titanic and the British affinity towards tea. I created tea packaging for the White Star Line fleet, pushing structural packaging design. The form of the ships take on a submerged aesthetic, giving the illusion of the ship sinking into ones tabletop. The guide itself entails on the teabag tags, in a 75 part story, with pictograms highlighting the key moments from departure to its fall.
